"Adoptions"

Adoptions are now open for the Fourth Annual Kiwanis Incredible Duck Splash.

We are close again to being able to say that the full $5.00 of every duck adopted will benefit the worthy causes of the numerous participating Duck Buddy nonprofit and school groups and the programs and projects of Glendale Kiwanis Youth, Inc. because of the generous support of our sponsors that nearly cover all costs of producing the event.

Adoptions can be completed online NOW -

To promote adoptions for your team, the easiest method is to request supporters go to your team page (that can be customized - direct links to team pages are available at the Duck Buddies page and the Glendale Kiwanis Teams page) and click on the "Adopt a Duck" button to give credit directly to that team. A second choice is to follow these instructions (perhaps more detail than necessary, but elaboration should eliminate any questions or confusion):

  1. go to www.duckrace.com/glendale
  2. click on the button "Adopt a Duck"
  3. click box to left of "I am 18 years ..."
  4. select "No" for "Do you have an adoption paper?"
  5. select "[YOUR TEAM]" from pull-down menu for "Which Sales Team would you like to credit with this adoption?"
  6. select "Package" based on desired amount of adoption (for example, a $125 adoption total could be "5" Quack Packs or "1" Quack Pack plus "1" Family)
  7. select any of the "Souvenirs" desired - they will be shipped directly to the customer
  8. scroll to the bottom of the page and click "Continue"
  9. enter the "Billing Information"
  10. check the button "Check if your Adoptee & Billing Addresses are same" if appropriate
  11. check the button "I certify that Adoptee is over the age of 14"
  12. enter the "Adoptee Information" (if necessary)
  13. enter the Credit Card Information (if the customer does not have a MasterCard or Visa, then the paper form must be used permitting a check or either American Express or Discover as well as MasterCard and Visa)
  14. click on button "Process Payment"

A preliminary adoption form is available here in PDF or MSWord format. Adoption forms not designating a "Duck Buddy Selling Group" will benefit many programs for children and worthwhile programs and causes throughout the Los Angeles area.

The final official printed adoption forms are now available to pick up at numerous locations throughout Glendale and in neighboring communities around Los Angeles County as listed on the Adoption Form Locations page.
